Mission:
To provide a corps of registered structural engineers prepared to assist state and local agencies in the post-emergency assessment and posting of damaged structures as a result of natural or man-made disasters when those agencies’ resources become overwhelmed because of the magnitude of the disaster. Our purpose is to minimize any further loss of life following the disaster. The organization and training of this corps will be in concert with national standards and guidelines developed in similar corps throughout the country so that coordinated and efficient assistance can be rendered.
